Office Security Flythrough

For a cybersecurity conference hosted by Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, one of the attorneys approached us to create visuals for a PowerPoint presentation. The concept was to highlight common security risks found in office environments. With some time available and the recent upgrade to Creative Cloud for Teams, we saw this as a perfect opportunity to showcase our capabilities.

We envisioned a 3D environment that illustrated these security issues. Using Cinema 4D and Adobe After Effects, I built this environment, complete with a camera that tracked through the area, focusing on each issue. Some scenes required multiple takes that were seamlessly stitched together. As I often do with projects I’m passionate about, I included several “Easter Eggs” throughout the video. These included knockoff Red Bull cans, “confidential” papers that were actually public transportation and parking reimbursement forms, the requesting attorney’s bio displayed on a screen, and a few other hidden details. Spotting these Easter Eggs became a fun challenge for viewers.

The video highlighted several key security risks: leaving confidential materials out in the open, unattended USB drives containing sensitive information, unsecured trash and boxes with documents, and unlocked desktops/laptops that could be accessed by unauthorized individuals such as visitors or custodial staff. The most requested part of the presentation was the phishing email demonstration, which showed how easy it is to be tricked into giving away sensitive personal information.

The presentation was a huge success, receiving high praise from both Buchanan’s cybersecurity team and event attendees. The biggest compliment came from attendees representing large banks, who requested copies of the video to use in their internal cybersecurity training sessions. This project not only demonstrated our team’s creative and technical skills but also delivered a highly effective and engaging presentation that resonated with professionals in the field.
